LNTC Hosts ULI Workshop on March 19
The LNTC will host a workshop on the recently completed Urban Land Institute (ULI) Advisory Panel at noon on Friday, March 19 at Cornelius Town Hall. Participants in Stakeholder Sessions and financial underwriters have been invited to attend.
The seven-person ULI panel spent a week here in late January. The process included absorbing material provided by the Four Towns, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and CATS. Furthermore, they conducted 9 group interview sessions to collect data, ideas and suggestions for accelerating the Lake Region’s economy and the transportation infrastructure required.
LNTC Chairman Brian Jenest and Mooresville civic leader Bill Thunburg will lead discussion on March 19, as attendees will respond to the ULI panel’s findings and recommendations. Thereafter, the LNTC will sift through the report and commentary from the workshop as they prioritize action steps the Towns might initiate. Copies of the final report will be available in early April, and will also be posted on this website.
