The mid-September version of the Lake Norman Regional Bicycle Route is now available for review at http://lakenormantrans.org/posts/bikes-on-the-move.html.

The Lake Norman Regional Bicycle Plan process will hold three public comment meetings in October and November to allow the public to review and comment on the plan routing, recommended improvements, and project prioritization. The meetings will be held in Iredell, Lincoln, and Mecklenburg Counties. A flyer will be distributed with locations, dates, and times in the coming weeks.

The plan is scheduled for draft approval by its steering committee in December. At that point it will be presented to all four affected counties and all five affected municipalities for their awareness and requested endorsement. This will occur in January and February. The plan will then be presented to the North Carolina Department of Transportation Board of Transportation for their approval in March and April.
