CAT's executive Carolyn Flowers, supported by members of the MTC and other staff, will be in Washington, May 24 to meet with Federal Transit Administration officials about the RED commuter rail line.

Flowers has stated her support for "innovative" financing of RED line since the north commuter rail does not qualify for federal funding---under current FTA guidelines.  "The rules are being amended to give more favorable weighting to economic development and jobs," said Flowers.
