Bill Thunberg, 20 year resident of Mooresville, serves as Executive Director of the LNTC. He is employed under an annual ‘fee for service’ agreement. Thunberg is the former Mayor of Mooresville and as such was involved in the creation of the LNTC. He served as Mooresville’s Metropolitan Transportation Commission representative, helped found the Iredell County Transportation Advisory Board and has been involved in regional transportation issues in various roles for many years. He is active in economic development, and currently serves as Vice- Chair of the Centralina Economic Development Commission; active in public policy, and currently serves as Vice Chair for Public Policy at Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce. Thunberg serves as Vice-Chair of the North Carolina Code Officials Qualifications Board and is the owner of Alexander Zachary Jewelers in Downtown Mooresville.
